Menzel Elektromotoren manufactured for a German customer a special test-bed for testing of electrical motors. Motor, flywheel mass as well as all couplings and all measuring and monitoring devices where mounted on a single frame.

The picture was taken in the Menzel testfield during final tests.

Motor:

• DC motor
• frame size 250 mm
• speed: 645 - 2450 min-1

Equipped with:

• forced ventilation
• tachogenerator
• digital position indicator
• digital torque control
• DT100 in stator winding
• thermistos in stator winding

The flywheel was designed for this application to achieve best test conditions.
